Committee on Professional Conduct (CPC)
PURPOSE:
Responsible for assisting the Board in implementing the Code of Ethics and Rules of Procedure. In tandem with the President and Board of Directors, the CPC is responsible for publicizing and promoting the Code of Ethics with the membership, elected officials, and the general public. The CPC is also responsible for conducting investigations and preparing written findings of fact, which are sent to the President and the respondent. The CPC may recommend that disciplinary action be considered but it may not recommend a specific sanction.
LEADERSHIP/MEMBERSHIP:
The ACMA Board of Directors selects the chair of the CPC. The chair selects membership based on the committee, with appropriate guidance from the Officers.

This committee was created in February 2003.

Conference Planning Committee
PURPOSE:
Plan ACMA Winter and Summer Conferences
LEADERSHIP/MEMBERSHIP:
The co-chair of the conference planning committee shall become the committee chair after their term as co-chair (one conference). The committee will include a diverse mix of active and associate members, and will take into account factors such as representation of cities, counties, and other organizations; geographic location, size of organizations represented, etc.
CURRENT/RECENT ACTIVITIES:
- Provide content ideas for conferences
- Assist with speakers/panels
- Assist with special event and member hospitality at conferences

Scholarship Committee
PURPOSE:
Manage Andrews and Esser Scholarship Programs
LEADERSHIP/MEMBERSHIP:
The Scholarship Committee will include both Full and Associate members.
CURRENT/RECENT ACTIVITIES:
- Select scholarship recipients
- Revise Andrews program to include an internship component
- Review city/town/county applications
- Work with 3 public universities to increase participation
- Meet with first internship city and intern to determine successes/areas for improvement
