Keynote Speaker Rebecca Ryan @ the 2021 ACMA Summer Conference

Attention ACMA Members!

This year, ACMA has set out on a new initiative to offer a keynote address at our conferences.

We are excited to announce our first ever Keynote Speaker for ACMA Summer Conference 2021 will be guest speaker Rebecca Ryan!

Join Rebecca on day two of the conference as she brings us on her journey to inspire foresight and prepare us for the future of local government as we transition into our post-pandemic world. You will not want to miss this!

Keynote Address Description

After COVID-19, managers, employees, and the community are still processing one of the hardest years of their careers and/or lives.  The pandemic, within the framework of a politically divided country, pushed us in ways that were demanding and stressful, but also lead us to new innovations, strengthened teamwork in the region/state, and getting comfortable working and making decisions in the face of ambiguity.  While the world, our communities and organizations are in transition back to a better normal, it is important to take a moment to reflect on this experience.  What did we learn that needs to be shared?  How are we improving services to our communities?  And most importantly, how are we leading our teams to do what is right for the City, while respecting that there may be conflict with personal beliefs and choices? Join keynote speaker Rebecca Ryan in this point of reflection about the impacts of COVID-19 on the world, cities and employees and what leadership looks like in a post-pandemic world.
